In this edition of Birdie, we're leaping into the upcoming day (or month) of love! In the past, I never placed much importance on Valentine's Day, but since becoming a mom, it has become one of my favorites. Despite my husband dismissing it as a Hallmark "holiday," let's set aside his perspective and embrace the opportunity to celebrate uniquely!

I've rounded up a few of my favorite heart-month-themed items to share with you. From comfy pajamas to Valentine's Day gifts for the kids, these are things I've previously bought and loved!

Lake Valentine Pajamas. Because we deserve soft pjs for bedtime too! Good news, you can match your kids (Prices range).

Young, Wild, and Friedman Valentine Sensory Kits. I’ve been buying from this small business in Texas for years. The quality of her sensory bins and other fun items is unmatched. I got two for my kids as their Valentine’s Day gift! (Kits are around ($39).

Heart-Shaped Waffles. I am a sucker for any themed breakfast possible. This month, I’m committed to all things hearts, and I’m starting with this waffle maker. Bon appetit!

Valentine’s Day was simpler as an 80’s and 90’s kid.

Back in elementary school, Valentine's Day was a simple affair. Mom would whisk us away to the local convenience store, where we eagerly chose cardboard class valentines to drop into our classmates' beautifully decorated shoeboxes. Oh, how times have changed!
